The investigation in our group focuses on the study (mechanistic and kinetic) of the degradation of emerging pollutants by photochemical methods and bioremediation enzymes. At the same time, we also investigate the effect of light on the aforementioned enzymes, the impact of photo-induced processes on their catalytic activity, and the use of different media that provide photo-protection.
We consider that the information present by our research may be relevant for the design and optimization of new strategies aimed at reducing the concentration of organic pollutants in natural environments.
